BMW North America says they believe they all should have it. Seattle BMW thinks maybe someone had it changed, programming update so to speak. Depending on your ability, you could do the coding yourself with a pretty cheap cable. In places where DRLs are enabled, there's an option in the settings on the head unit to turn them on and off. If you code them active, you may also enable this menu item, but I can't be sure.

The previous owner was kind enough to take the vehicle to his BMW dealer and have the DRL activated and the odometer switched to KM. The DRL worked for about a week and then ceased to function.
